Artiva Biotherapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:ARTV) announced it will halt further clinical development of its lead cell therapy candidate, slash roughly 94% of its workforce, and evaluate strategic alternatives.
Artiva Biotherapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARTV) announced on October 27, 2026, that it will discontinue development of its AlloNK (AB-101) cell therapy following a review of updated clinical results, longer-term patient outcomes and two fatal safety events…
The disclosure makes Artiva the third company to recently report fatal events in an autoimmune cell therapy trial, following announcements from Novartis and Bristol Myers Squibb.
Artiva said it would reduce its workforce by about 94% and has hired Leerink Partners to explore strategic options, including a merger and asset sale.
