Privacy

Effective 4 October 2026. StockSays is a Logrinth product. Your account, and everything held against it, is covered by the Logrinth privacy policy, which also describes the service providers, backups and sign-in that StockSays shares with it. This page covers what StockSays adds on top of it.

Your Account

StockSays has no accounts of its own. You sign in with a Logrinth account, and Logrinth passes StockSays your handle, your profile picture and your email address. Change your handle or picture and request account deletion from your Logrinth account page. Write to [email protected] to correct your email address.

What StockSays Stores

StockSays stores the posts and replies you write, the messages you send in chat, the images and videos you upload, the GIFs you choose, the reactions you add, the posts you vote on, the members you follow, when each of these happened, and any moderation of them. Posts, replies, chat messages, your public profile and the media you share can be seen by anyone, including visitors who are not signed in. Chat is not private messaging. StockSays carries no analytics, advertising or tracking code of its own.

We hold it to run the service you signed in to, and to keep it usable against abuse. Deleting a chat message removes it. Deleting a post hides it from the site but keeps its record, including what it said. Deleting a post or a chat message does not by itself delete an image or video uploaded with it. Logrinth stores these records on infrastructure it operates; Cloudflare, Google and Klipy also process information as described below.

Other Companies

Logrinth runs the database and the uploaded-file storage itself, and Cloudflare carries the traffic to StockSays and its file service. Browsing or searching for GIFs sends Klipy your StockSays profile identifier and, when you search, your search text. GIFs load into your browser from Klipy’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser request information. The live video panel is a YouTube player, so Google receives your IP address and browser request information and may set its own cookies and observe you across other sites that embed YouTube; that is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not this one. These are in addition to the service providers described in the Logrinth privacy policy. We do not sell your information.

Cookies And Tracking

Signing in sets the __Host-lr_seat and __Host-lr_hint cookies, which keep you signed in for up to eight hours and end after an hour without use, and the __Host-ss_state, __Host-ss_verifier, __Host-ss_nonce and __Host-ss_next cookies, which last up to ten minutes while a sign-in completes. Your light or dark preference and how you view the feed are kept in your browser’s local storage until you change them or clear it. Signing in through Logrinth also uses the cookies described in its privacy policy. None of these is used to track you. StockSays itself does not follow what you do over time or across other websites, so there is nothing here for a Do Not Track signal to switch off and we do not act on one.

The YouTube player loads by itself when the video panel comes into view. Loading it sends browser request information to Google and may let Google use cookies or similar storage. StockSays has no separate consent control for this player.

Deleting Your Account

An accepted deletion of your Logrinth account removes your profile, your chat messages, your reactions, your votes and your follows, and queues your uploaded files for removal, which finishes shortly after. When a deletion can be refused is set out in the Logrinth privacy policy. Posts and replies stay with their link to your profile removed, because other members have replied to them and voted on them, but what they say may still identify you or someone else. Write to [email protected] to ask for personal information in a post or reply to be erased, and we will assess the request under the law that applies.

Your Rights

See your email address, change your handle or picture, and request account deletion from your Logrinth account page. Send any other request to see, correct or erase your information to [email protected]. The rights you hold, including under the CCPA and under UK and European law where they apply, are set out in the Logrinth privacy policy and apply here too. Keeping a post does not by itself exempt the personal information in it from a right to erasure.
