Effective 9 August 2026. StockSays is a Logrinth product. Your account, and everything held against it, is covered by the Logrinth privacy policy. This page covers what StockSays adds on top of it.
Your Account
StockSays has no accounts of its own. You sign in with a Logrinth account, and Logrinth passes StockSays your handle, your profile picture and your email address. Changing any of them, or deleting the account outright, is done from your Logrinth account page.
What StockSays Stores
What you create here: the posts and replies you write, the messages you send in chat, the reactions you add, the posts you vote on, and the members you follow. Nothing else. StockSays carries no analytics, advertising or tracking code of its own.
We hold it to run the service you signed in to, and to keep it usable against abuse. It stays until you delete it or delete your account, with the exception for posts described below. Everything sits on servers in the United States.
Other Companies
Supabase stores the database and uploaded files. Searching for a GIF sends the search text to Klipy, and a GIF loads into your browser from Klipy’s servers, so Klipy sees your IP address when one is shown. The live video panel is a YouTube embed, so Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies and observe you across other sites that embed YouTube; that is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not this one. No other company receives your information, and we do not sell it or share it.
Cookies And Tracking
Signing in sets a session cookie so that you stay signed in, and your light or dark preference is kept in your browser. Neither is used to track you. StockSays itself does not follow what you do over time or across other websites, so there is nothing here for a Do Not Track signal to switch off and we do not act on one. The YouTube embed described above is the one component that can, and it obeys Google’s settings rather than ours.
Deleting Your Account
Deleting your Logrinth account removes your profile, your uploaded files, your chat messages, your reactions, your votes and your follows. Posts and replies are the exception: they stay, because other members have replied to them and voted on them, but your name is detached from them and they no longer point back to you. If you want a post gone rather than detached, delete the post before deleting the account.
Your Rights
Read and change your handle, picture and email from your Logrinth account page, and delete the account there. The rights you hold over all of it, including under the CCPA and under UK and European law, are set out in the Logrinth privacy policy, and apply here too, subject to the exception for posts described above.
